Jonathan Martin is a writer, speaker, and spiritual guide exploring the deep places where faith, doubt, and art collide, helping people find space for soul and sanctuary. His books have guided thousands through seasons of spiritual crisis and personal transformation (The Book of Waiting, The Road Away from God, How to Survive a Shipwreck, and Prototype). He currently serves as Director of the Center for Spiritual Life and Associate Chaplain at DePauw University in Greencastle, IN; and Pastor of Fillmore United Methodist Church. Jonathan is married to Nicole, and they have four children—Kaitlyn, Ashlyn, Alexa, and Kingston; along with their dog Stella and cat Lucy. He holds degrees from Gardner-Webb University, Pentecostal Theological Seminary (MA) and Duke University (ThM). He speaks at conferences, universities, seminaries, retreats, and churches. His work and/or words have been featured in places like the New York Times, The Atlantic, NPR, Newsweek, Vox, Sojourners, The Huffington Post, Relevant Magazine, and The Journal of Pentecostal Theology.
